Wholesale Cigar Partnership
Ironleaf works with independent tobacconists, cigar lounges, and specialty retailers who want a boutique brand their regulars ask for by name. You get direct contact with the founders, and cigars built to move instead of aging out your humidor space.
We’re a husband-and-wife-owned brand founded in 2024, and we’re selective about who carries us. You won’t find Ironleaf in every shop. We build with retailers who care about quality, competitive pricing, and follow-through. If you want a brand that shows up, delivers what it promised, and stands behind every stick, let’s talk.
Why carry Ironleaf
You already stock the legacy names. Your customers know them, they sell, they keep the lights on. Ironleaf isn’t here to replace them. We give your regulars something they haven’t smoked yet and the shop down the street isn’t carrying.
Our five lines — Envoy, Sovereign, Tyrant, Monarch, Regent — are handcrafted in the United States from 3-5 year aged tobaccos grown on specific Dominican and Nicaraguan farms we work with directly. Brad and Andi select every blend, and we reject about 40% of test batches before a cigar earns the Ironleaf name. That’s the standard behind each box on your shelf. Line-by-line specs live on our Our Blends page.
Distinctive shelf presence
Ironleaf photographs well. Clean banding, a consistent look across all five lines, presentation that catches the eye in a crowded humidor. Customers notice it, they ask, and that opens the conversation.
The story is short enough to repeat: husband-and-wife-owned, American-made, Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, boutique quality at a fair price. Your staff can say it in two sentences without a script.
We’re not asking for a wall. A few facings per blend in your boutique section is enough to start. If it moves, we talk about expanding. If it sits, we dig into why and adjust the mix.
Small-batch brand, production-grade quality control
Small batch doesn’t mean unpredictable. We roll domestically through a U.S. factory partner with master rollers who have 20+ years on the bench. We’re in the facility. We inspect construction at every stage and catch problems before a box ships.
Every box delivers the same draw, the same burn line, the same flavor progression. When a customer comes back for a second five-pack, it smokes like the first. That’s what turns a trial into a reorder. It also means fewer complaints across your counter and more time selling the next box.
We don’t buy broker lots. We source leaves from farms we know, aged long enough to build complexity, and we don’t push a blend to market because a vitola is trending. A cigar ships when it’s ready, and it stays in production as long as it holds our standard. More on the sourcing and blending on our About page.
What you get as an Ironleaf retail partner
- 40-50% markup, scaled to order volume and payment terms. That’s the profit that justifies the shelf space and the staff time to hand-sell a newer brand.
- Direct founder access. You talk to Brad and Andi, not a regional rep juggling 12 lines. We answer the phone, we remember your customers, and we don’t vanish when you need a restock or have a question about a blend.
- Real POS support. Branded shelf talkers, tasting note cards, and product photography for your website and social posts. Clean assets that make Ironleaf easy to introduce.
- Staff training on the five lines: tobacco breakdown, strength, flavor notes. When a customer asks which blend pairs with bourbon, or what’s close to a Padrón they love, your staff answers without guessing.
- Co-marketing. We promote our partners on Instagram, Facebook, and our site. When we run a tasting at your location, we bring demo inventory and help you fill the room.
- Reliable supply. We keep inventory stocked and ship promptly (exact lead time being finalized — see FAQ below). You won’t wait 90 days for a reorder or find out a blend is backordered after you’ve sold it to three regulars.
You’re weighing four things: margin, sell-through, customer feedback, and whether we make your job easier. Built to reward the effort of launching a new brand, the price fits the everyday-smoke budget your regulars return for weekly. On sell-through, we’re tracking early retailer data and holding ourselves to 2-3 boxes per month per location within 60 days — dead inventory costs you twice, so that benchmark matters to us as much as to you. Customer feedback is still building since we’re new, but every cigar in the lineup is one Brad and Andi smoke themselves; we won’t sell anything we wouldn’t light, and we ask the same of you. On support, we show up and we’re reachable. You’re working with the people who built the brand.
Minimum order quantities and case pricing
Opening orders start small — exact minimums are being finalized and will be posted here shortly (reach out and we’ll confirm now). We size it so you can test the market without locking up capital in cigars you’re unsure will move. After the first order, reorders scale down to what’s actually selling.
Case pricing improves with volume. Specific tiers are being finalized — we show you the numbers up front once confirmed. No hidden fees, no surprise freight.
Payment terms are also being finalized (Net terms vs. due on delivery). We work with shops serious about moving product, and we’re flexible with partners who prove sell-through.
Who we’re looking for
We partner with independent brick-and-mortar tobacconists, lounges with steady weekly traffic, and specialty retailers (whiskey shops, men’s boutiques, golf pro shops) adding premium cigars. You move 50-500 cigars a month, you curate, and you don’t just stock whatever the distributor pushes.
You want a brand with a clear identity. You’re tired of portfolio brands launching a new line every quarter and diluting the story. You value consistency in the product and the relationship.
You’ll try before you commit. We send samples, you evaluate with your team and a few trusted regulars. If they don’t earn a spot in your humidor, we walk away friendly. We’d rather grow slowly with the right partners than be everywhere and nowhere.
Honest tradeoffs
We’re new, so your customers haven’t heard of us yet. You do the work of introducing Ironleaf and building that first trust. We’re also not carried everywhere — limited distribution is part of the value, but it means a customer can’t grab us at the chain down the road. What offsets it is the cigar: quality control is tight, pricing is honest, and we answer when you call. You’re betting on a product that delivers and a relationship that outlasts the opening order.
How to become an authorized Ironleaf retailer
The process is short. You reach out, we talk, we send samples, and if it fits both sides, we open your trade account.
- Tell us about your shop: location, humidor size, your customer base, what you stock now, and the gap Ironleaf might fill. No formal pitch, just enough to know it makes sense.
- We send a sample pack with sticks from all five lines. Smoke them. Share them with your staff or a few regulars you trust. Take your time.
- When you’re ready, we cover the numbers: margin, opening order, payment terms, and the support you need to launch us. Want us in for a tasting or staff training? We’ll set it up.
- Once the account is open, you’re an authorized Ironleaf retailer. We add you to our Where to Buy locator, promote your shop on our channels, and stay in touch for reorders and feedback.
The wholesale cycle usually runs 3-6 weeks from first contact to opening order, faster if we meet at an event.
